The "Outer Parkway of Oklahoma City" Street Enduro is patterned after the World Police and Fire Games STREET ENDURO held in Quebec, Canada July 2005.  This event begins and ends at Performance Cycle, 6200 NW 39th Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK. This course follows as closely as possible the Outer Parkway of Oklahoma City as designed by landscape architect W.M Dutton in 1909. Much of the original parkway is intact but in many places it has been moved or replaced by highways, some parts were never finished. The route is divided into 5 sections. This course has been designed for all street legal vehicles. The route is completely on city streets with posted speeds 25-45MPH.

Event materials:
Outer Parkway of Oklahoma City route sheets, a numbered scorecard and event information.

Route Sheets:

The route sheets have the section number and tour name. Below that is the spaces for your starting odometer readings and total miles traveled. Next is the start location. Below that, on the left, are the directional arrows that indicate turns. To the right of the arrow is the name of the street, road or highway. Next is the stopping location of that section. At the bottom is where your elapsed time for completing the section is entered. Click the route sheet button to see a sample route sheet.

Event

At the start location enter your odometer reading on the route sheet.  A digital watch with a stopwatch feature is recommended to determine the exact time it takes you to travel from the section start to the section stop. When you are ready to begin, start the time on your watch. Follow the route exactly. Obey all traffic laws. Accelerate slowly. Enjoy Oklahoma City’s Outer Parkway. When you want to stop anywhere on the course, stop your time and mileage then restart it when you continue.  When you arrive at a STOP location record the elapsed time and the section miles. When you are ready to start the next section, repeat the process of recording your odometer reading and starting your time. When you have completed all 5 sections transfer each section mileage and elapsed time to the scorecard. Turn in your completed scorecard to Richard Meadors or Gerald Tims at Performance Cycle. Scores will be posted on the website. Final results will be mailed if requested.
